I wanted to be more eco-friendly and save money on our gas bill, so I decided to get a "solar powered clothes dryer," aka clothesline. However, my spouse was afraid our yard would look less lovely with a clothesline out in full view, so we needed a wall-mounted model that could be closed up and relatively hidden when not in use. I investigated several Australian clotheslines which met our needs, however the price and shipping to the US was at least twice as much as the Brabantia Wallfix.The Wallfix can hold one full load of laundry with plenty of spacing between. Actually, you can fit two loads on if you hang on every line, with items pretty close together, however it will take awhile for things to dry since circulation will not be as good. If you do more than 2 loads of laundry on a given day, this probably will have too little hanging area for you. The outermost lines are wide enough for any clothing item or a large beach towel. Queen size sheets fit as long as they're folded in half first. The innermost line is wide enough for a washcloth or child's clothing item.Installation was relatively simple. The most important thing is finding a very sturdy place to install. We installed onto stucco which is working fine. Don't forget that the outer lines are higher than the inner lines, so be sure to install at the right height for the person hanging the clothes out. In hindsight I wish I had installed it a few inches higher so I could get at the lower/inner lines easier.Highly recommend!PS - If you want to read other reviews of this item, check amazon's UK site. I'm extremely happy with my new wall mount dryer. It is exactly what I have been looking for and I didn't even know it existed before I spotted it in a magazine. After much reading of reviews, particularly in Europe I was convinced to purchase one. I spent more time looking for my drill bit set then the time it took me to mount it to the wall. I am able to hang up one full load of laundry from a front loading washing machine. Depending on the load depends on the ease of figuring out how to hang everything up. Mine is hanging in a very open area, but I could see that if it was mounted in a corner, it might be harder to use as it DOESN"T rotate in a circle. Very simple to open up and close. Absolutely love this and nothing beats the smell of sun-dried laundry.
