Avoid at ALL COST!

I bought this item from Claire's...an online store touting it's two elderly lady owners as trying to make good.It was advertised as "heavy duty" so naturally I assumed it was similar quality to just about all wire shelveson the market. After opening the box my jaw dropped. The shelves had a similar gauge to that ofdry cleaning hangers! In other words, I could easily bend them with my fingers. Hardly "heavy duty" anda total insult to any consumer. To top it off the plastic locking slides that hold the shelves up didn't lockso the shelves easily slid down.I called Honey-Can-Do (what a misnomer unless you consider everything they make is as sturdy as dripping honey).They were in complete disbelief that their product was considered shabby.Their customer service told me to send it back to Claire's which I did at my own expense. I could have thrown it out but Ireally wanted this thing to go back from whence it came. Eventually, after Claire's "forgot" to credit my card and I had toremind them months later, they finally did so.So folks, please learn from my tale of woe. This item is pure JUNK and should be avoided at ALL COSTS!Now, many moths later, as the pain has worn off, I intend to go ahead with a new purchase and I won't consider the cost as much as sturdiness& quality. It's just not worth the hassle.

You get what you pay for

Arrived on schedule, but with minor damage to one of the poles. As there was no damage to the exterior of the box, I suspect the damage occurred at the factory. Nonetheless, I was able to bend the pole lip enough to be able to assemble the item. The assembly instructions are on a single sheet and put bluntly, they stink. They gave no clear indication of where to install the two part plastic bushings that I ultimately figured out are required to secure the top and bottom platforms to each of the four poles. As my mechanically disinclined brain tried to solve the puzzle, I tried the Honey Can Do Web site. It was not helpful. This model isn't shown and they have no provisions for assembly tips, a FAQ, or anything. So I called the company mid-day EST on a Tuesday. Ended up having to leave a message on their voicemail asking for a call back. No call yet, but it has "only" been an hour or so. Meanwhile, brute force and ignorance ultimately carried the day with assembly. It appears to function well; it is holding a dozen pair of jeans belonging to my wife and daughter. Doesn't see very stable though.

I needed one of these inside my closet, so I'm not rolling it around which is good, it's a little wobbly, but serves the purpose very well.
